Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This full-time day shift position involves direct and indirect patient care, including monitoring and evaluating lab work and vital signs under medical staff direction.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, a Texas RN license, and BLS/ACLS. Note: a sign-on bonus may apply; benefits and development opportunities accompany employment.

• Proficiency with computerized patient care systems.

Responsibilities

• Render professional nursing care to CathLab patients in support of medical staff.
• Monitor patients, evaluate lab work and continuously monitor vital signs.
• Direct age-specific nursing activities during emergencies.

Full Time, Days

Renders professional nursing care to patients in the CathLab, in support of medical care directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect nursing care. Performs a variety of duties involving patient care in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. This includes patient monitoring, evaluation of lab work and continuous monitoring of vital signs. Directs age specific nursing activities during emergency situations.

Minimum Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Minimum Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience as an RN in an acute care setting.

Required Certification: BLS, ACLS

Required Licensure: RN license in the State of Texas

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
