Job summary

Nacogdoches Medical Center in East Texas invites an experienced nurse leader to join our Med-Surg team. The ideal candidate will render professional nursing care, collaborate with multidisciplinary staff, and drive patient outcomes while maintaining compliance with hospital policies.

The role requires an Associate Degree or Nursing Diploma, Texas RN license, and BLS/PALS/ACLS certifications, with at least 1 year med-surg experience; certifications must be completed within 2 months of employment.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required.
• RN license with at least 1 year of med-surg experience.
• BLS, PALS, ACLS certifications required.
• Valid Texas RN license.
• Certifications must be completed within 2 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Renders professional nursing care to patients in a Med-Surg unit.
• Collaborates with other disciplines involved in patient care.
• Supports medical staff and hospital policies to achieve desired patient outcomes.

Renders professional nursing care to patients assigned in a Med-Surg unit, in support of medical care as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the hospital. Work encompasses direct and indirect care patient care and collaboration with other disciplines involved in the provision of care.

Minimum Education: Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing

Minimum Experience: RN license with at least 1 year of experience on med-surg

Required Certification: BLS, PALS, ACLS

Required Licensure: Valid Texas RN license

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
