Job summary

St. Francis Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The RN will circulate and scrub cardiac diagnostic and PCI procedures, admit and recover pre and post cath patients, and cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring.

On-call duties are required as part of the Cath Lab team. Eligible candidates hold a BSN, NYS nursing license, and 2+ years in critical care with BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of BSN program
• NYS Nursing License required
• 2 years of critical care experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required by AHA

Responsibilities

• Circulate and scrub cardiac diagnostic and PCI procedures in the Cath Lab.
• Admit and recover pre- and post-cath patients.
• Cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring and perform hemostasis.
• Supervise and direct the activities of Patient Care Associates and Cath Lab Assistants.
• On-call required.

Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) - Catheterization Lab

Seeking Registered Nurses for our state-of the art Cardiac Catheterization Lab -

St. Francis Hospital is New York State's only specialty designated cardiac center and offers one of the leading cardiac care programs in the nation. St. Francis physicians performs one of the largest volumes of percutaneous coronary interventions.

We are seeking Registered Nurses to join our Cath Lab team.

The successful candidate will circulate and scrub cardiac diagnostic and percutaneous coronary interventional (PCI) procedures performed in the Cath Lab. The RN will admit and recover pre and post cath patients. The RN will cross-train to hemodynamic monitoring and is responsible to perform hemostasis. The RN provides direct nursing care to patients, assuming responsibility and accountability for the total care of assigned patients. The RN supervises and directs the activities of Patient Care Associates and Cath Lab Assistants. On call required.

• 2 yearsCritical Care Experience

• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ACLS) required from the American Heart Association

Salary Range

USD $54.48 - USD $82.03 /Hr.
