Loyola Medicine in Maywood, IL is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) for the 5 Tower (Cardiac Surgery & Step-Down Unit) at Gottlieb Memorial Hospital. This inpatient unit specializes in post-op cardiovascular and thoracic care, with a 6-bed transitional unit for higher acuity patients.

You will gain experience in cardiac telemetry, drips, chest tubes, external pacers, and a range of diagnoses while joining a supportive, team-oriented unit that promotes professional growth and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Diploma from an accredited nursing program (BSN or ADN) is required.
• BLS provider (approved by American Heart Association) required prior to hire.
• Illinois Board of Nursing license required prior to hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care for post-operative cardiovascular and thoracic patients on a 5 Tower unit.
• Monitor cardiac telemetry, administer IV drips, manage chest tubes and external pacers as needed.

Description

5 Tower (Cardiac Surgery & Step-Down Unit): is a 32-bed inpatient, private room unit specializing in care for post-op cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, lung transplants, heart transplants, and advanced heart failure (LVADs). This unit is unique in that we also have a 6-bed transitional unit with higher acuity patients that require specialized care. The nurses on this unit will learn several skills, including, but not limited to cardiac telemetry, cardiac drips, chest tubes, and external pacers.

BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour

ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour

Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
