Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiovascular Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN). You will provide care using the nursing process and collaborate with the interprofessional team to meet patient needs and achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, current Oklahoma RN license, BLS within 14 days of hire and ACLS within 90 days. Preferred: 1+ year in a step-down unit or Med/Surg with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire or upon signing a revised job description.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care for assigned patients, prioritizing needs, coordinating interventions and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team.

The Registered Nurse in is primarily responsible for using the nursing process of assessment, nursing diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide care to assigned patients. Responsible and accountable for identifying and prioritizing needs, formulating the plan of care, prioritizing/managing/delegating interventions and collaborating with the physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school
• Current Registered Nurse license in Oklahoma

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire or upon signing a revised job description

Preferred Job Requirements:

• One or more years of experience in a Step-Down Unit
• Med/Surg experience with an aptitude for developing new skills will be considered
