Job summary

Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, NJ is seeking a Cardiac Rehab Registered Nurse for day shift, part-time. You will provide personalized nursing care, perform assessments, planning, and education, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Requirements include graduation from NLN/AACN accredited nursing program, NJ RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of experience; 3+ years in cardiovascular settings are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of nursing experience.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per standards and guidelines.
• Develop and implement patient care plans and education.
• Enter and retrieve patient information from HIS and other systems.
• Maintain clean and organized work area and assist in department paperwork.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the‑art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for assisting in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care, internal and external customer service, assuming responsibility and accountability for the patient, providing nursing care for the patient to include: the assessment, planning, implementation, education, management and evaluation of the patient within the standards of nursing care and operational guidelines, preparation of all departmental paperwork, entering and retrieving patient information from the Hospital Information System (HIS), providing nursing care or education in other nursing units when necessary and maintaining the work area in a clean and organized manner.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of a NLN/AACN accredited program in nursing
• 1+ year of experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure by the NJ State Board of Nursing Examiners
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Preferred Job Requirements

• 3+ years of experience
• Previous employment in a cardiovascular setting
