Job summary

UT Health Tyler is seeking a day shift, full-time Cardiac Pre/Post/PACU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cath Lab team in Tyler, TX. You will provide direct patient care using the nursing process for adults and geriatric patients, and assist Cardiologists with cardiovascular studies and procedures in a fast-paced environment.

On-call is required and you must arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes. Candidates must hold a Texas RN license and BLS; ACLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Provide and direct patient care using the nursing process for adults and geriatric patients.
• Assist Cardiologist with procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including studies and interventions.
• On-call requirement with 30-minute arrival time to the Cath Lab.

Our medical staff includes more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups.

Responsibilities:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who uses the nursing process to provide and direct patientcare for a group of patients for a designated time frame.The Cardiac Catheterization Registered Nurse assiststhe Cardiologist with procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. This includes both Cardiovascularstudies/interventions as well as Special Procedure studies/interventions.The patient population contains adults,and geriatric patients. Ionizing Radiation is utilized to perform these studies as well as other imaging modalities.On-Call is required and the employee must be able to respond and arrive in the Cath Lab within 30 minutes.The Registered nurse is responsible for direct patient care during the procedure.

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:Must maintain current Texas RN License.BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
