Job summary

Community Health Network in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Critical Care Unit. You will care for a diverse patient population in a high-acuity ICU, gaining hands-on experience with CVVH, ICP monitors, chest tubes, ventilators and balloon pumps.

The role emphasizes teamwork, compassionate patient care, and adherence to the Nurse Practice Act and organizational standards. Indiana RN license and acute care experience are required; EPIC systems use is a plus.

Qualifications

  • NLN/CCNE/ACEN or NLN CNEA accredited nursing program or 3 years related nursing experience.
  • Licensed as an RN with Indiana state license (NLC).
  • Acute care experience required; 2+ years preferred.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork.
  • EPIC experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Care for a diverse ICU patient population with various diagnoses.
  • Gain experience with CVVH, ICP monitors, chest tubes, ventilators and balloon pumps.
  • Work within a cohesive team environment with strong collaboration and communication.

7:00am - 7:30pm (Days): Three 12 hour shifts/week. Every 3rd weekend with some holidays required.

The Registered Nurse will care for a diverse patient population with a variety of diagnoses. You will gain experience with CVVH, ICP monitors, chest tubes, ventilators, and balloon pumps. The Registered Nurse will work within a cohesive team environment while gaining invaluable experience caring for some of the most critically acute patients in the city.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Demonstration of performance consistent with professional standards of practice, care, the Nurse Practice Act and the mission and goals of Community Health Network; demonstration of skills in collaboration, delegation, negotiation and management of resources.

• Graduate of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA) accredited school of nursing, or three years of related professional nursing experience.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Acute care experience required. Prefer 2 years+ nursing experience.

• EPIC experience is a plus.
