Job summary

Tidelands Health in Georgetown, SC seeks a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory to support catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker procedures.

You will prepare patients, assist physicians during procedures, monitor vital signs, administer medications, provide post-procedure care and education, and coordinate with families to ensure a calm, safe, and effective patient experience in a high-acuity interventional setting.

Qualifications

• ADN required.
• BSN required.
• MSN preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.
• Interventional Cath Lab nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations.

• Keep patients calm and relaxed during procedures where they’re required to be awake.

What you will do

Education Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing. (ADN) Required
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. (BSN) Required
• Master's Degree in Nursing. (MSN) Preferred

Experience Qualifications

• Critical care experience Preferred
• Previous Interventional Cath Lab nursing Preferred

Preferred Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work with patients, families, physicians and other health care providers with a high level of customer service orientation required.
• Must be proficient in using Electronic Health Record (EMR) for patient-level care and coordination.
• Must possess excellent verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to collaborate with others to improve quality and address needs.

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Nurse - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation with South Carolina Board of Nursing Required
• Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association is required within 30 days of hire. Recertification every two years is Required
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Preferred
