Job summary

University Hospitals is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiac Cath Lab at UH Lake West Medical Center. The role includes scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in a state-of-the-art cath lab, with 4 - 10 hour days (7 am to 5:30 pm) and on-call requirements requiring hospital access within 20 minutes.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of ED/ICU experience; licensure in Ohio or a multi-state compact, BLS, and ACLS/PALS per unit standards.

Qualifications

RN with 1 year of experience in Emergency Department or ICU.
Ohio license or Multi-State Compact license upon hire.
BLS required upon hire.
ACLS may be required based on unit.
PALS may be required based on unit.

A Brief Overview

Serving at our health system’s most advanced and complex cardiac catheterization laboratory, the UH Lake West Medical Center Cath Lab performs a variety of state of the art procedures giving our team a well-rounded experience in coronary, peripheral, and aortic interventions. Cardiac Cath Lab RNs may scrub, circulate or monitor cases.

Working 4 - 10 hour days - 7 am to 5:30 pm

Will take call - need to be able to get to the hospital within 20 minutes

Looking for RN's with 1 year of Experience in either Emergency Department or the ICU

Education

Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or
(ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required)
(BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred)
(MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred)

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency)
Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency)

Licenses and Certifications

Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and
Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit. Refer to ACLS/PALS Unit Requirements document found on DWP Nursing Portal to determine requirements by unit.
