Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City area is seeking a Registered Nurse RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab to join our team. You will provide direct patient care during cardiac procedures, administer medications, monitor vitals, and ensure post-procedure assessment under the Cardiology Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

• Coordinate and provide patient care in the Cardiology Department.
• Administers medications and monitors vital signs and EKG.
• Document nursing records accurately and perform post-procedure assessments.

Responsibilities

• Responds within 30 minutes when on standby and able to assist at other Cath lab as needed.
• Carry out activities assigned by Cardiology Nurse Manager to ensure department runs efficiently.
• Provide emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation as required.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Cardiology Nurse Manager, coordinates and provides patient care and assumes individual responsibility and accountability for the provision of nursing care as related to the Cardiology Department. Administers medications,monitorspatient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment duringpatient’sstay in the Cardiology Department. Documentsaccuratenursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching andpost procedureassessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation.Assistswithin serviceeducation. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcomeanalysisand performance improvement. Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Nurse Manager toassurethe department runs effectively and efficiently. Responds within 30 minutes when onstand byand able toassistat other system Cath lab asneeded.
