Job summary

Research Medical Center is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator in Cardiac Telemetry to deliver patient-centered care and coordinate unit functions with the management team. You will monitor nursing care and serve as a resource for staff while supporting an exceptional patient experience.

The unit focuses on cardiac telemetry patients with open heart, stent, ablation, and other cardiovascular procedures in a comprehensive facility. You will collaborate with leadership to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of start date.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care with a multidisciplinary team.
• Assist with admission and discharge processes.
• Support improved outcomes and service.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and training to improve performance and engagement.
• Assist with staff scheduling.

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. In partnership with the management team, the CNC monitors and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies. The CNC serves as a resource for staff and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

About this unit

Cardiac Telemetry nurses assess acute changes in patients. They monitor and analyze the heart rhythm of patients, interpret ECGs, note arrhythmias, and intervene in emergency situations. They have high-level critical thinking skills, vast clinical knowledge, and are able to stay calm under pressure. Our Cardiac Telemetry unit is unique in that our nurses take care of patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterization with stent placement, ablations, pace maker/AICD placement, cardiovascular surgeries and we are a comprehensive stoke/stemi facility.

What qualifications you will need

Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Registered Nurse. Registered Nurse Diploma.
