Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac/Telemetry Unit on a full-time day shift. The ideal candidate has at least one year of acute care experience in cardiac, telemetry, or stepdown settings and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You will provide individualized bedside care using the nursing process, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, participate in hourly rounding, and may serve as charge nurse when needed.

Qualifications

• 1 year of acute care experience in cardiac/telemetry/stepdown.
• Nursing degree from an accredited nursing school.
• Arizona RN license required or eligible, CPR/ACLS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Delivers age-specific bedside nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assesses, plans, delegates, and directs other staff when needed.
• Monitors quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to meet goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding and may serve as charge nurse.

Job Summary

Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac/Telemetry Unit on a full-time day shift. This role is ideal for RNs with at least one year of acute care experience in a cardiac, telemetry, or stepdown setting who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. As a Registered Nurse in our Cardiac/Telemetry Unit, you will provide individualized bedside care utilizing the nursing process, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure the highest quality outcomes for our cardiac patients. You will also take part in initiatives like hourly rounding and may serve in a charge nurse capacity as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit.
• Coordinates care planning with other disciplines.
• Position renders individualized, age specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs.
• Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgement in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
• Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
• Participates in hourly rounding.
• Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices.
• May at times be asked to be in charge of shift(s).
• Supervises other members of the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• Special Skills
  • Effective interpersonal skills, ability to work with team members and excellent customer service skills required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above average pressure.
  • Must have basic computer skills.
• Minimum Requirements
  • Experience: 1 year of acute care experience in MS or TELE/PCU/Cardiac
  • Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
• Preferred Requirements
  • Experience: CVICU or ICU, or min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown
  • Education: BSN
  • Certifications
    • License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
    • CPR or ACLS, as applicable by facility or department
