Job summary

Castleview Hospital in Price, Utah is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. You will provide essential nursing care in a hospital setting, focusing on high-quality patient outcomes and compassionate service.

Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care interventions including medication administration and other clinical treatments.
  • Documents patient care provided.
  • Monitors and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient and family.
  • Assists patients with activities of daily living and nutrition.
  • Collaborates across disciplines for coordinated patient care, transfers, discharges and referrals.
  • Assesses learning needs of patient/family and provides appropriate education.
  • Advocates for the patient’s physical and emotional well-being.

How You'll Contribute

A RN who excels in this role must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

What We’re Looking For

Applicants should have a current state RN license and possess an Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

  • Certifications: BCLS within six months of hire or transfer date to position.
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Experience: One-year previous experience preferred.
  • Licenses: Must have a current Utah RN license in the state of practice or Compact License with Utah endorsement.
  • Education: Associate’s degree required. BSN preferred.

Noise level in the work environment is typical for an office and/or hospital environment.
