Zusammenfassung

Cottonwood Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our behavioral health team in Kansas. You will assess patients, plan care, supervise shifts, and uphold nursing policies to deliver evidence-based care within our trauma-informed, team-centered culture.

Requirements include Kansas or Compact RN license, ADN (BSN preferred), and BLS with other certifications within 30 days of hire. This is a full-time night shift with rotating weekends.

Qualifikationen

• Current Kansas or Compact State RN license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BSN preferred; Associates required.
• BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred; CPR and De-escalation certification but must have within 30 days of hire.

• Assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings.
• Oversee and supervise the shift.
• Delegate tasks and supervise groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc.
• Ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is delivered by the team.
• Monitor patient for changes in condition and respond, including physician notification.
• Follow hospital policy for medication administration.

Cottonwood Springsis a 108-bed behavioral health facility offering adult mental health and substance use treatment services. The facility includes four 24-bed units (Meadows, Sunrise, Cedars, and Prairie) and one 12-bed unit (Sunflower), specializing in depression, anxiety, psychosis, thought disorders, and substance detoxification. Cottonwood Springs fosters a trauma-informed, team-centered culture where RNs and BHTs work collaboratively and are equally valued. Howyou'llcontribute

ARegistered Nurse (RN)who excels in this role:

• Will assess the patient and plan care within set timeframes and document findings according to policies
• Will oversee and supervise the shift
• Demonstrates leadership through duties that may include delegating tasks such as groups, close observation, meal supervision, etc
• Will also oversee staff to ensure nursing policies and procedures are followed and exemplary patient care is consistently delivered by self and all members of the team
• Will monitor patient for change of condition and respond accordingly up to and including notification of the physician
• RN will follow hospital policy for medication administration
• RN will consistently use empathy, dignity, and respect when interacting with patients
• Delivery of quality nursing care to ensure that goals of the treatment plan are properly executed following hospital policies and procedures and demonstrated nursing competencies
• Assists/performs comprehensive nursing assessments on all patients

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current Kansas or Compact State RN license and possess an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school. Additional requirements include:

• Education: Bachelor of Science (BSN) preferred, Associates required
• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS, PALS, Handle with Care preferred, CPR, and De-escalation certification but must have within 30 days of hire

Schedule: FT Nights 7p - 7a and rotating weekends/on-call/holidays
