Job summary

Hillcrest HealthCare System in Cushing, OK is seeking a day shift, full-time Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver compassionate nursing care and support patients in crisis.

The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care using the nursing process, ensure timely response to emergencies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient safety and well-being.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN licensure in good standing.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process per hospital policies and protocols.
• Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate interventions.
• Organize care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating, and communicating withProviders/Leaders.

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. We also offer inpatient behavioral health care to adults experiencing a mental health crisis by offering a fully staffed team of licensed professionals, personalized treatment plans and continued support after being discharged.
• The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN Licensure
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
