Job summary

Ardent Health Services is seeking a day shift, full-time Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse (RN) in Cushing, OK to join our compassionate care team.

As an RN in the behavioral health unit you will deliver evidence-based nursing care, respond to clinical changes, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to support patients and families during treatment and recovery. This role requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, RN licensure, and BLS within 14 days.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• RN Licensure.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies and protocols.
• Respond to life-threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• Prioritize, delegate, deliver, evaluate and communicate with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.

• Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering a variety of services for patients of all ages in the Cushing, Oklahoma area. The hospital offers 24-hour emergency services, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology and more. We also offer inpatient behavioral health care to adults experiencing amental health crisis by offering a fully staffed team of licensed professionals, personalized treatment plans and continued support after being discharged.

• The Registered Nurse utilizes the knowledge basis of nursing education and experience to deliver nursing care using the nursing process according to hospital policies, procedures and protocols.
• The RN responds to life threatening situations with appropriate nursing interventions.
• The RN organizes care delivery by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, evaluating and communicating with all necessary Providers/Leaders on an ongoing basis.

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• RN Licensure
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
