Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (RN Compact License holders must obtain Texas TX RN License within 90 days).
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
• ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended.

Responsabilités

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for assigned patients.
• Meet Standards of Practice for Oncology/Medical Intermediate Care Unit and manage assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• Draw blood from venous lines.
• Administer and monitor chemotherapy/biotherapy agents if credentialed.
• Apply FACT principles to transplant-related care for cellular therapy patients, including preparative regimens and supportive therapies.
• Provide care to patients/donors undergoing cellular therapy collections or therapeutic apheresis procedures.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Cellular Therapy/Apheresis Registered Nurse provides specialized care to patients and donors undergoing cellular therapy, stem cell collection, and therapeutic apheresis procedures. This role is responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, delivering evidence-based nursing care, monitoring for complications, and coordinating care to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Additionally, the position supports quality improvement initiatives, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration to promote patient safety, operational excellence, and exceptional customer service.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients
• You will be responsible for meeting the Standards of Practice for Oncology/Medical Intermediate Care Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
• You will be responsible for drawing blood from venous lines.
• You will be responsible for administering and monitoring chemotherapy/biotherapy agents if credentialed.
• You will apply principles of FACT related to specific transplant-related care to develop a comprehensive understanding of the care needs of cellular therapy patients. This includes, but is not limited to, administration of preparative regimens, supportive therapies and care interventions to manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy complications
• You will provide care to patients/donors undergoing cellular therapy collections or therapeutic apheresis procedures.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required
• BSN is preferred
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date)
• Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association)
• ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within (90 days) of hire with one year of experience
• ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended
