Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake invites experienced RNs to join the Outpatient Infusion BMT team. The role emphasizes evidence-based care, patient education, and adherence to regulatory standards to improve safety and outcomes.

The position requires an ADN, RN licensure, and oncology infusion experience; BCLS is mandatory, with 1 year experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity within a comprehensive care setting.

Qualifications

• RN Oncology Infusion experience required; 3+ years preferred.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
• Registered Nurse licensure (RN).
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.

Responsibilities

• Implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
• Comply with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Develop and deliver teaching plans for patients on health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.
• Educate patients and caregivers on the procedure and signs of potential reactions.

You'll help shape decisions that elevate both patient outcomes and the future of nursing.

Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.

• Compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

• Develop and implement teaching plans for patients concerning health promotion, maintenance, and restoration.

• Ensures patients/donors and their caregivers are educated on the procedure being performed, emphasizing reporting signs or symptoms of reactions related to the procedure.

• Applies principles of FACT related to specific transplant-related care to develop a comprehensive understanding of the care needs of cellular therapy patients. This includes, but is not limited to, administration of preparative regimens, supportive therapies and care interventions to manage chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy complications.

• Ensures patients/donors and their caregivers are educated on the procedure being performed, emphasizing reporting signs or symptoms of reactions related to the procedure.
