Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake is seeking a Registered Nurse Apheresis to provide specialized care to patients and donors undergoing cellular therapy, stem cell collection, and therapeutic apheresis procedures.

You will perform comprehensive assessments, deliver evidence-based nursing care, monitor for complications, coordinate care with the team, and support quality improvement and regulatory compliance to ensure patient safety and exceptional service.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required.
BSN is preferred.
Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association).
ACLS Certification (American Heart Association) preferred.
ONS Chemotherapy Biotherapy Certification within 90 days of hire with one year of experience.
ONCC Oncology Certified Nurse Certification recommended.

Responsibilities

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for assigned patients.
Meeting the Standards of Practice for Oncology/Medical Intermediate Care Unit and managing all assigned personnel, supplies, and equipment.
Drawing blood from venous lines.
Administering and monitoring chemotherapy/biotherapy agents if credentialed.
Applying principles of FACT related to transplant-related care to develop understanding of care needs of cellular therapy patients.
Providing care to patients/donors undergoing cellular therapy collections or therapeutic apheresis procedures.
