Job summary

Sandwich Living and Rehab LLC in Illinois is seeking an RN or LPN to provide direct resident care and supervise nursing assistants. You will be responsible for administering medications and ensuring timely charting while maintaining a compassionate environment.

We offer part-time and full-time roles, with evening and day shifts. A current Illinois nursing license and CPR certification are required; Long Term Care experience is preferred to support our residents effectively.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Execute the day-to-day functions of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), including providing direct nursing care to residents, supervising nursing assistants, and maintaining a positive and calm environment.

• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents, provide leadership to nursing personnel, and complete required record keeping forms.

• Administer medications and perform routine charting duties in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Develop and maintain good working relationships with inter-departmental personnel and create a positive atmosphere throughout the unit.

• Administer professional services, monitor personnel to ensure safety regulations are followed, and maintain confidentiality of resident care information.

Qualifications:

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as an Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Illinois.

• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

• Ability to make independent decisions and be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures.

• Current CPR Certification required.

• Experience in Long Term Care is preferred.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to move intermittently throughout the workday.

• Ability to cope with mental and emotional stress of the position.

• Ability to meet general health requirements set forth by the facility.

• Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum.
