Advocate Lutheran General Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join its Ambulatory Surgery Center team for pre/post-operative care. The role requires an active IL RN license, current CPR and ACLS, and preferred PALS within 3 months of hire.

Candidates should have at least one year of related pre/post-op or critical care experience and be able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Formación

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active IL RN license.
• Current CPR and ACLS.
• PALS preferred or must be completed within 3 months of hire.
• Minimum of one year of Preop/Postop care or related critical care experience
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts to accommodate staffing
• May be required to take call
• Exposure to potentially hazardous conditions while caring for patients
• Ability to assist in evacuation of patients during emergencies
• Ability to assist patients with lifting up to 35 pounds without assistance

Responsabilidades

• Provide post-surgical care to patients in Ambulatory Surgery Center (Phase 1, Phase 2).
• Respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit.
• Work with potentially infectious specimens and patients.
• Assist in evacuation during fire or disaster events.

Title: Registered Nurse – Ambulatory Surgery Center-Pre/Post Op

As an RN in Ambulatory Surgery Center you will be responsible for providing post surgical care to patients (Phase 1, Phase 2).

Position Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with Current IL RN license
• Current AHA CPR and ACLS
• PALS preferred or must be completed within 3 months of hire
• Minimum of one year of Preop/Post op Care, Critical Care, Emergency Department, or Step down ICU nursing experience highly desired
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and different shifts in order to accommodate staffing
• Certain positions may need to take call
• Work environment includes probability of exposure to adverse, hazardous, or unpleasant conditions while caring for the sick
• Ability to assist in evacuation of patients in the event of a fire or other disaster
• Routinely works with potentially infectious specimens and patients
• Ability to respond to patients in a timely manner and access all areas of the unit
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other team member, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
