Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide focused nursing care for a group of patients under minimal supervision and to complete required competencies during the introductory period.

Applicants must hold a Texas RN license, maintain BLS on hire and obtain ACLS within 60 days, with Behavioral Health requiring Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days of hire. This role supports patient-centered care and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience

• None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health
• 1 year in acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis

Preferred Experience

• 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
• 2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health
• 2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis

Required Certifications/Licensure

Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.

• For RN in Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department

Required Courses/Completions (e.g., CPR)

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Dialysis Department: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.
• Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role #LI-NS1
