Job summary

Baptist Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient-centered care in Med/Surg, Behavioral Health or Dialysis units. You will deliver nursing care to assigned patients under minimal supervision and complete required competencies during onboarding.

Must hold a Texas RN license with active BLS; ACLS within 60 days and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention within 60 days may be required for certain units. Sign-on bonus may apply.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Texas RN license current and in good standing.

Job Summary

This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus
Under minimal supervision, provides nursing care for a group of patients assigned to the nurse based on matching the patients’ needs with the nurse’ competencies. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
PREFERRED EDUCATION : Bachelors Degree

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE :

• None for Med/Surg and Behavioral Health
• 1 year in acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE :

• 2 years in acute care for Med/Surg
• 2 years in psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health
• 2 years acute/chronic dialysis for Dialysis

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE : Possession of current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.

• For RN in Behavioral Health: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into department

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
REQUIRED CCOURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR):

• Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
• Dialysis Department: In addition to Basic Life Support, ACLS (AHA) must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into the unit.
• Behavioral Health Unit: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention for Behavioral Health must be obtained within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
