Registered Nurse (RN) - Acute Care MedSurg (Kennestone Hospital)

Join our team at Kennestone Hospital! We offer full-time, part-time, and PRN positions across various units and specialties, including Pediatric, Cardiovascular Surgery, Oncology, MedSurg Float, and more. Shifts available include day, evening, night, and weekends. Eligible positions may include sign-on bonuses, relocation assistance, and acuity differentials.

About the Role

The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care. You will practice within a supportive environment guided by the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, emphasizing evidence-based practice and professional standards.

Responsibilities

1. Perform the Nursing Process: Conduct assessments, diagnoses, plan, implement, and evaluate care using evidence-based practices.
2. Provide Patient-Centered Care: Deliver relationship-based care sensitive to cultural and individual patient needs.
3. Partner with Patients and Families: Use effective communication methods to keep patients and families informed and involved in care planning.
4. Practice Standards: Follow current clinical practice standards and promote safety and quality outcomes.
5. Teamwork and Collaboration: Coordinate care effectively, participate in interdisciplinary rounds, and support a respectful clinical environment.
6. Professional Development: Complete required competencies, serve as a preceptor or mentor, and pursue ongoing education.
7. Evidence-Based Practice and Research: Promote research, participate in quality improvement activities, and adhere to organizational policies.
8. Resource Management: Proactively plan patient care and support efficient use of resources.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Nursing degree (Bachelor’s preferred)
• Active RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Less than 1 year of clinical experience (new graduates eligible)
