Registered Nurse (RN)- Acute Care (MedSurg)

Join our team as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Acute Care (MedSurg) at Kennestone Hospital. This full-time day position (7am-7pm) involves working as a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, safe, and individualized patient care. The RN practices within a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and the Wellstar Shared Governance Model, guided by the Wellstar Professional Practice Model and evidence-based standards. All RN Clinical Nurses must be licensed, knowledgeable, and adhere to the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, the ANA Code of Ethics, and organizational policies.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing assessments, diagnoses, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practices.
  • Provide patient-centered care that respects cultural diversity and individual needs.
  • Partner with patients and families through effective communication and education.
  • Coordinate safe, quality care through interdisciplinary collaboration and documentation.
  • Support professional development by completing required education and mentoring colleagues.
  • Promote evidence-based practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Plan proactively for patient care across the continuum and contribute to protocol development.
Qualifications:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred).
  • Current RN license (Single State or Multi-state Compact).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Less than 1 year of clinical experience post-graduation preferred.
