Job summary

Advocate Health Care’s 9 South Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a 44-bed unit delivering specialized care to patients with cardiovascular conditions, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 3–4:1 enabled by telemetry monitoring.

As a skilled RN, you will provide direct patient care, coordinate the nursing process, and focus on early detection, rapid intervention, and patient education in collaboration with cardiologists and a multidisciplinary team to promote recovery and safety.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state you practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care.

Registered Nurse (RN) 9S Telemetry .6/7a

The 9 South Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a specialized 44-bed department dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with cardiovascular conditions. We care for individuals experiencing heart rhythm abnormalities, blood pressure irregularities, chest pain, and those recovering from cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and ablations.

With a 3-4:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, our team ensures personalized attention and continuous cardiac monitoring using advanced telemetry technology. Nurses in this department play a critical role in early detection of cardiac changes, rapid intervention, and patient education to promote recovery and prevent complications.

We're Looking For

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing


• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices


• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
