Roxbury Treatment Center in Shippensburg, PA is hiring a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (8 hours, 10:30pm-7:00am) with weekend and holiday rotations. Overtime opportunities exist, and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 is offered for a 2-year commitment.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice nursing in Pennsylvania (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in line with Roxbury Treatment Center's philosophy and objectives.
• Prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care.
• Completes nursing assessments and documents patient progress each shift.
• Facilitates medication administration in line with safe practices and patient education.
• Responds to crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety.
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in developing patient care plans.
• Oversees and directs mental health technicians in patient care activities.
• Accounts for nursing care activities on shift and supports professional practice under the Nurse Manager or DON.
• May assume Charge Nurse responsibilities as required.

Registered Nurses will work on our Adolescent, Adult Mental Health Units OR Substance Use Disorder Unit

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care on a designated unit in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Roxbury Treatment Center.
• The Registered Nurse prescribes, coordinates and delegates nursing care
• The Registered Nurse completes nursing assessments and documents care and progress of the patient each shift
• The Registered Nurse facilitates medication administration activities in accordance with safe medication practices, including patient education
• The Registered Nurse responds to all crisis/emergency events to direct staff and ensure patient safety
• Attends Treatment Team to aid in the development of patient care plans
• Oversees and directs the mental health technicians in patient care activities
• The Registered Nurse is accountable for assigned nursing care activities on a shift basis and is responsible for promoting and enhancing professional nursing practice on the unit under the direction of the Nurse Manager or DON.
• The Registered Nurse may also assume Charge Nurse Responsibilities as required.
