Job summary

Pleasant View Center is actively recruiting Registered Nurses to join a dedicated long-term care team in New Hampshire. The RN will oversee daily nursing activities, coordinate with physicians, and lead a team of CNAs and LPNs to deliver compassionate care.

Eligible RNs can access up to $50,000 in loan repayment and a $10,000 stipend through the Nurses for Nursing Homes program, in addition to competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• RN license and nursing degree from an accredited program.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct the daily activities of LNAs in accordance with regulations and facility policies.
• Ensure compliance with policies by nursing staff.
• Participate in admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Observe resident status changes and communicate with physicians and families.
• Transcribe orders and administer medications per physician orders.
• Administer wound care per orders and document outcomes.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate transportation.
• Provide nursing leadership to the unit.
• Deliver direct care tasks (colostomy changes, tube feedings, IVs, etc.) per policy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team and raise concerns as needed.
• Update care plans and participate in survey readiness and end-of-life care.
• Ensure supplies and medications are stocked and confidentiality is maintained.

Up to $50,000 for Eligible Nurses

Pleasant View Center is a qualifying facility under the federal Nurses for Nursing Homes program. Eligible RNs who commit to three years with us may receive up to $40,000 in student loan repayment plus a $10,000 stipend. This is on top of our pay and benefits. Funded by CMS; subject to program eligibility and acceptance.

Must have a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required, current unrestricted license as a RN in practicing state, and current CPR certification.

RN Job Responsibilities & Duties:

• Direct the daily activities of the LNAs in accordance with current federal, state and local regulations & guidelines and established facility policies and procedures.
• Ensure that policies and procedures are complied with by nursing personnel assigned.
• Participate in the admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Observe for changes in residents’ status, notifying the physician and resident’s family or representative and documenting accordingly.
• Transcribe physician orders to medical record and carry out orders as written.
• Prepare and administer medications as per physicians’ orders & observe for adverse effects.
• Perform wound treatments per physicians’ orders, observe and document accordingly.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for residents and transportation needs as indicated.
• Provide nursing leadership to nursing personnel assigned to the unit.
• Provide direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc. in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team. Inform appropriate departments of concerns or complaints and file grievances as necessary.
• Initiate, review and update care plans. Participate in survey process and in end-of-life care as required.
• Ensure medications, supplies, and equipment are stocked.
• Maintain confidentiality of protected health information, including verbal, written and electronic communications.
