Job summary

MedStar Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 4 East/West unit in Olney, MD to provide bedside nursing for adults with general medical conditions during the 7:00pm–7:00am shift. The unit focuses on preventing complications, reducing length of stay, and enhancing patient and associate satisfaction.

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Prior Clinical Nursing Experience preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care to adults on a 32-bed unit with general medical conditions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care to prevent complications and improve outcomes.
• Support patient and family education and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

4 East/West is a 32-bed medical unit that serves a variety of patients with general medical problems. The unit focuses on the immediate and early management of adult patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, such as renal failure, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure. The unit aims to improve patient outcomes by preventing further complications, reducing length of stay, and enhancing patient and associate satisfaction.

Available Positions: Full-time: 7:00pm-7:00am
