MedStar Health’s Washington Hospital Center is seeking a registered nurse for a 7:00pm–7:00am shift on 4 East/West, a 32-bed unit that handles a diverse range of adult medical conditions including renal failure, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, pneumonia and heart failure. The role emphasizes early management, prevention of complications and improved patient outcomes.

Requirements include ADN/BSN/MSN/CNL from an accredited nursing program and an active MD RN license or compact-state eligibility;

Qualifications

• RN license required or eligible with active licensure in Maryland or compact state
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

4 East/West is a 32-bed medical unit that serves a variety of patients with general medical problems. The unit focuses on the immediate and early management of adult patients presenting with a wide range of conditions, such as renal failure, sickle cell crisis, diabetes, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure. The unit aims to improve patient outcomes by preventing further complications, reducing length of stay, and enhancing patient and associate satisfaction.

Available Positions: Full-time: 7:00pm-7:00am

Qualifications

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
