Northwell Health seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the 3A Med/Surg unit in Staten Island, NY. The RN provides comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care plans with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited nursing program, a NY RN license, BCLS, with a BSN preferred; enrollment in an accredited program is expected within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN degree preferred; enroll in accredited program within 24 months if hired after Sep 1, 2010 and complete BSN within 5 years.

Responsabilités

• Assess the patient’s physiologic health status.
• Conduct patient interviews and explain policies and procedures.
• Determine mobility, sensory deficits, and skin condition.
• Assess level of pain and pain management.
• Communicate and document patient’s physiologic health status and plan of care.
• Assess patient’s psychosocial health status.
• Develop criteria for measurement of patient outcomes.
• Formulate the plan of care and establish priorities.
• Implement the plan of care and maintain patient safety.
• Evaluate care provided for patient outcomes.

About This Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the 3A Med/Surg unit is responsible for providing comprehensive patient care through assessment, diagnosis, and implementation of care plans. This role is ideal for nurses who excel in a collaborative environment and possess strong clinical judgment.

Highlights

• Pay: $60 - $78/hour

• Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift

What You'll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

Experience:

• Must be enrolled in an accredited program within 24 months of employment if hired after September 1, 2010, and obtain a BSN degree within five (5) years of employment date.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State
• BCLS certification required
• ACLS preferred
