Job summary

Hilltop Health and Rehab, part of the Ascent Healthcare Management family, is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our resident-centered team in North Carolina. We offer shift flexibility, development opportunities, and competitive pay and benefits.

As an RN, you will coordinate care with the healthcare team, administer medications, educate patients, monitor vital signs, manage equipment, and participate in discharge planning while delivering compassionate bedside care.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in NC.
• First aid and CPR certification.
• Exceptional staff training and customer service skills.
• Compassionate and friendly demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
• Prepare and administer prescribed medications (oral, subcutaneous, IV) and report adverse reactions.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when adverse symptoms appear.
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Record all care information concisely and timely.

Shift details:

• Full Time, Part Time, and PRN positions available

What you will do:

• Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans
• Prepare and administer (orally, subcutaneously, through an IV) prescribed medications. Report adverse reactions to medications or treatments in accordance with the policy regarding the administration of medications by a licensed registered nurse.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures
• Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients and interpret and record electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action whenever the patient displays adverse symptomatology
• Provide bedside care for a wide variety of medical patients, including pre- and post-surgery patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs
• Participate in discharge planning.
• Record all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format, and on the appropriate forms.
