Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Step-Down Cardiac Telemetry RN to monitor and care for cardiac telemetry patients, administer medications, document progress, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate has a BSN (or enrolled in BSN program with NY RN license), 1+ year telemetry experience, and BLS certification; ability to read cardiac monitors is preferred.

Qualifications

• New York RN license required.
• BLS certification required (American Heart Association).
• 1+ year telemetry experience preferred.
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step-down patients.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and support patients and families through safety, education and emotional support.

Job Details

Our Step-Down Cardiac Telemetry RN's:

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Cardiology
• 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS)Provider Certification requiredfrom the American Heart Association, Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.
