Job summary

Catholic Health Services is seeking a part-time RN for the Telemetry Department Float Pool at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center®. This role requires attendance at a full two-week Monday–Friday orientation.

The RN will monitor cardiac telemetry patients, collaborate with physicians and staff, and provide education and support to patients and families. NY RN licensure, ACLS/BLS, and BSN are required.

Qualifications

  • BSN degree required and valid NY RN license.
  • ACLS and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1+ years of nursing experience, preferably in cardiology/telemetry.
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients.
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Advocate for patients and provide education to patients and families.

RN - Telemetry Department Float Pool

Job Details
Responsibilities
  • Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
  • Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses / RNs and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.
Requirements
  • Passion for Cardiology
  • 1+ years of experience
  • Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
  • Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
  • Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
  • Certification: ACLS and BLS required from the American Heart Association
Salary Range

USD $58.16 - USD $83.99 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
