Job summary

Good Samaritan University Hospital, part of Catholic Health, is seeking a Neuro ICU/Neuro Step-Down RN to manage care for interventional, stroke and neuro-surgical patients on a busy Long Island unit.

Candidates should have 1+ year RN experience in critical care, strong cardiac monitoring, and a current NY RN license. BLS and ACLS are required; CCRN is preferred. Compensation includes competitive base pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year RN experience in a Critical Care/Neuro ICU or step-down unit.
• Cardiac/invasive monitoring knowledge and arrhythmia interpretation required.
• New York RN license & registration.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Our Neuro ICU / Neuro Step-Down RN's:

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for interventional, stroke, and neuro-surgical patients.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for the Neuro ICU / Neuro Step-Down
• 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in a Critical Care (Neuro ICU, CCU, ICU, CTICU, CVICU, etc.) or step-down unit
• Cardiac and invasive monitoring knowledge and arrhythmia interpretation skills required
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required, Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.
