Job summary

Catholic Health Services is seeking a Step-Down Cardiac Telemetry RN at Good Samaritan University Hospital in New York. You will assess, monitor and administer medications, documenting progress and managing care for cardiac telemetry patients.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes and advocate for patients and families, offering education and safety interventions to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Active NY Registered Nurse license and license in good standing.
• BLS certification required by American Heart Association.
• ACLS and PCCN preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Job Details

Our Step-Down Cardiac Telemetry RN's:

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall care for cardiac telemetry step down patients (including conditions such as chest pains, positive troponin, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), and arrhythmias)
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education.

What you'll bring:

• Passion for Cardiology
• 1+ years of experience in Telemetry preferred
• Experience reading cardiac monitors preferred
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certification required from the American Heart Association, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred, Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) preferred

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $73.66 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
