Job summary

PAM Health Specialty Hospital of Stoughton seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for an internal 13-week assignment at $65 per hour. The RN will deliver, direct and supervise patient care on the nursing unit under the direction of the CNO/Director of Nursing, and may assume Charge Nurse duties with ACLS certification.

The role requires an active RN license in the state or compact licensure, BLS certification, and ACLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• Current RN license to practice in the state where the hospital resides or compact licensure.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment; required for Charge Nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provide, direct and supervise patient care using the nursing process on the assigned unit.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care, discharge planning and patient/family teaching for post-hospital care.
• Performs duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities where ACLS certification is required.

Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. The Registered Nurse plans, coordinates, and provides patient care to include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. May perform other related duties as assigned or requested, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Education and Training:

Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates. Current BLS certification is required. Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment. BLS and ACLS certifications must be AHA approved within 90 days of employment. Current ACLS certification is required for Charge Nurses.

Experience:

One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
