Job summary

Hospital for Behavioral Medicine in Worcester, MA is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. Eligible candidates will receive a $10,000 sign-on bonus and 100% company-paid medical coverage for family, with options to opt-out for additional cash.

Compensation ranges by shift vary from $40.00-$54.00 per hour, with day, evening, weekend and overnight differentials. Join us to deliver compassionate psychiatric and medical nursing care and advocate for patients in a supportive team

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing.
• Licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
• Minimum of three years' experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Must pass a medication administration exam; CPR certification and completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Document patient information and nursing care in the provision of nursing services.
• Document and reassess any significant changes in the patient's condition in compliance with facility policy.
• Verify the accuracy of patient records.
• Intervention is based on knowledge of psychiatric and medical nursing procedures, as well as the plan of care.
• Provide education to patients and families based on their identified needs and limitations, such as communication, interpersonal and social skills as well as basic principles of physical health.
• Document both the nursing interventions on the treatment plan and the patient's response to the intervention.
• Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies.
• Act as the patient's advocate and assure that patient rights are upheld.

• Days to Evenings: $40.00-$51.00/hr
• Evenings to Nights: $43.00-$52.00/hr
• Weekend Days to Evenings: $44.00-$54.00/hr
• Weekend Evenings to Overnights: $46.00-$54.00/hr

Your Experience Matters What We’re Looking For

• Education: Graduate from an accredited program of professional nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Licensure: Currently licensed to practice by the Massachusetts State Board of Nursing.
• Experience: A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a psychiatric health-care facility preferred.
• Additional Skill Requirements: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications. CPR certification and successful completion of Management of Aggressive Behavior including restraint and seclusion policies, within 30 days of employment, and prior to assisting in restraining procedures.

Compensation
