Job summary

Regency at Troy is seeking an Registered Nurse (RN) to oversee and coordinate resident care across assigned shifts in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care plans while supporting LPNs, CNAs, and other team members to ensure quality and safety.

• Minimum 1–2 years nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute settings.
• Current state RN license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises LPNs, CNAs/STNAs and other staff delivering direct care.
• Plans and directs work aligned with resident needs and staff capabilities.
• Prepares assignments and adjusts for staffing levels and resident safety.
• Receives staffing-related calls and arranges replacements as needed.
• Transferts employees among units per staffing demands.
• Completes performance evaluations and provides input on hiring or discipline.
• Oversees unit operations during absence of higher-level management.
• Use independent judgment per company policies and laws.

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing, overseeing, and coordinating the delivery of resident care during assigned shifts in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing the facility. The RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating resident care plans while ensuring the highest degree of quality care and safety. The RN supervises and supports licensed practical nurses (LPNs), certified nursing assistants (CNAs), and other team members to ensure continuity of care and serves as a key resource for residents, families, and staff.

• Plans, assigns, and directs work in alignment with resident needs and staff capabilities

• Adjusts break schedules and resolves staff concerns
• Oversee unit operations during absence of higher-level management
• Use independent judgment in accordance with company policies and applicable laws

Education and/or Experience:

• Minimum 1-2 years of nursing experience in long-term or sub-acute preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

• Current state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Current CPR certification or CPR certification within 90 days of employment
