Job summary

Spearfish Canyon Healthcare in Spearfish, SD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the long‑term care unit. You will provide comprehensive patient care, perform nursing assessments, and administer medications within facility policy and state guidelines.

You will supervise LPNs and CNAs, develop care plans with the interdisciplinary team, and ensure accurate documentation while supporting Eduro Healthcare values.

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school required.
• Active SD RN license required.
• BLS certification from the AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents and evaluate changes in condition to ensure appropriate interventions and care planning.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards.
• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state practice), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures.
• Supervise, delegate, and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel in accordance with state nurse practice acts.
• Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated based on resident assessments and interdisciplinary team input.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective resident care.
• Accurately complete all required documentation, assessments, and clinical records in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards.
