Job summary

Prairie Heights Healthcare in Aberdeen, SD is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the long‑term care unit. The facility is part of Eduro Healthcare and committed to high‑quality resident care, staff support, and ongoing professional development.

A $10,000 sign‑on bonus is offered to eligible candidates. Responsibilities include comprehensive RN care, assessments, medication administration, and workflow supervision of LPNs/CNAs, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Active RN license issued by South Dakota is required.
• BLS certification from the AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents.
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and update care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy, tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other procedures.
• Supervise and guide LPNs, CNAs, and other staff.
• Ensure care plans are implemented and updated based on assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team for coordinated care.
• Complete documentation and clinical records in a timely manner.

Education

Duties And Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive Registered Nurse (RN) care for residents


• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments of residents and evaluate changes in condition to ensure appropriate interventions and care planning


• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician and in accordance with facility policies and professional nursing standards


• Provide skilled nursing care including wound care, IV therapy (as permitted by state practice), tube feedings, suctioning, catheter care, and other complex nursing procedures


• Supervise, delegate, and provide clinical guidance to LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel in accordance with state nurse practice acts


• Ensure care plans are developed, implemented, and updated based on resident assessments and interdisciplinary team input


• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure coordinated and effective resident care


• Accurately complete all required documentation, assessments, and clinical records in a timely manner and in accordance with regulatory standards

Compensation And Schedule

• Pay range: Starting at $38.00/hour


• Schedule: Full-time & part-time

Skills And Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited school of nursing required
