Job summary

Creekwood Nursing & Rehabilitation in Russellville is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our compassionate team. We offer full-time day and night shifts, with opportunities for growth and a strong support network.

You will provide bedside care, monitor vital signs, administer medications, document medical information, and collaborate with RNs and physicians to ensure the highest quality of care for residents.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in the state.
• At least one year of LPN experience in a long-term care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care to patients, including personal hygiene maintenance.
• Record the patients’ vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respiration).
• Collect the patient’s health information.
• Relay information between patients, RNs, and physicians.
• Give oral medications and injections to patients.
• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels.
• Urinary catheter insertion and care.
• Monitor changes in patients and maintain medical records.

LPN Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside care to patients, including personal hygiene maintenance

• Record the patients’ vital signs (including blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate)

• Collect the patient’s health information

• Relay information between patients, registered nurses, and physicians

• Give oral medications and injections to patients

• Test a patient’s blood sugar levels

• Urinary catheter insertion and care

• Assist patients with personal hygiene

• Monitor for changes in patients

• Proper charting, documentation, and maintenance of patients’ medical records

• Asks questions when in doubt for clarification by the Registered Nurse.

• Acts as a role model for ancillary personnel.

• Maintains the confidentiality of the patient’s clinical records.

LPN Requirements:

• Current LPN license in the state

• At least one year of LPN experience in a long-term Care Setting is preferred.
