Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing seeks a Registered Nurse to join the Emergency Department in Rumford, Maine. Night and mid shifts available, with direct patient care and fast-paced decision making.

The role emphasizes triage, IV therapy, medication administration, EMR documentation, and team coordination with LVNs/LPNs, while ensuring EMTALA compliance and patient safety.

Assignment length is 12 weeks with weekly pay and dedicated support from a staffing specialist.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required (Maine)
• BLS, ACLS; PALS or ENPC required
• Minimum 1 year ER staff nurse experience in acute care
• BSN preferred
• CEN preferred
• Night or mid shift experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department during night shifts.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry; respond to changes.
• Communicate patient status, results, and plans with physicians and care team.
• Administer medications and IV therapy per orders.
• Supervise LVNs/LPNs and nursing assistants as needed.
• Maintain EMR documentation in compliance with standards.
• Ensure EMTALA compliance and report abuse.
• Participate in emergency response, trauma resuscitation, and critical care.
• Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.

Pay: up to $2,016.00 - $2,304.00 gross per week

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department during night shift, including triage, assessment, monitoring, and interventions.

• Monitor patient condition, vital signs, and telemetry; respond rapidly to changes.

• Communicate patient status, diagnostic results, and treatment plans with physicians and the care team.

• Administer medications, IV therapy, and emergency interventions per orders and protocols.

• Supervise and coordinate LVNs/LPNs and nursing assistants as needed.

• Maintain accurate EMR documentation in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.

• Ensure EMTALA compliance and report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.

• Participate in emergency response, trauma resuscitation, and critical care stabilization.

• Support patient safety initiatives and evidence-based emergency nursing practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current. 4. Current PALS certificate and/or ENPC required upon hire and maintain current. 5. Basic Arrythmia Interpretation required upon hire. 6. Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting required.7. Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.8. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $56.00 to $64.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
