Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking an experienced RN for our detox and residential facility in North Chesterfield, VA. This role supports medical intake, medication management, and coordinated care across clinical teams.

Ideal candidates hold Virginia RN licensure (or compact licensure) and have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced treatment setting.

Qualifications

• Licensed registered nurse required in-state or compact licensure with multi-state privileges.
• Current licensure to practice nursing in Virginia is mandatory.
• Experience in detox or residential care settings preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to document clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete medical intake process for seamless transition into treatment.
• Perform all nursing shift duties: vitals, drug screens, scheduling appointments and lab work.
• Coordinate pharmacy, dispense medications, and maintain med logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and UR teams for coordinated care.
• Ensure timely and accurate medical documentation for each client.

Now Hiring an RN for our newest Detox and Residential treatment facility, in North Chesterfield, VA!

This is an 8 hour day shift position: 7am-3pm or 1pm-9pm.

What You'll Do

• Manage complete medical intake process to ensure a seamless transition into treatment
• Complete all nursing shift duties (vitals, drug screens, scheduling appointments and lab work etc.)
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and keep accurate med logs
• Collaborate with extended medical, clinical and UR teams for total coordination of care
• Ensure complete, timely and accurate medical documentation for each client

What We're Looking For

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
• Current licensure necessary to practice in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Detail-oriented, withy ability to multitask and work efficiently
• Compassionate and dignified character which models recovery principles
