Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center Fort Wayne is hiring a Nurse Manager for First Shift (Mon-Fri, 8am-4:30pm). You will oversee nursing operations, coordinate patient care across medical and clinical teams, manage staffing, and ensure compliance with documentation standards.

The role requires an RN license in-state or compact licensure, strong communication and leadership skills, and prior experience in substance use treatment. Great benefits and team support provided.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year diploma program post-high school
• one year experience in substance use treatment field preferred
• Valid RN licensure necessary to practice nursing in-state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges
• Excellent oral and written communication and critical thinking skills
• Strong collaborative, multitasking, and time-management skills
• Natural leadership abilities with commitment to excellence

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality, compassionate, and timely medical care for every Avenues client
• Ensure seamless coordination of client care between medical and clinical departments, UR team, external healthcare providers, and pharmacies
• Oversee all medication inventory, logs, and authorizations, lab shipments and reports, medical supplies and equipment etc.
• Oversee and direct all nursing and medical support staff (interviews, onboarding, training, retention, scheduling, shift coverage, HR needs, and performance reviews)
• Maintain medical workflow process and conduct ongoing reviews of protocol and operations
• Ensure quality medical documentation and charting standards through weekly chart review

What You'll Do
