Job summary

English Valley Nursing Care Center (EVNCC) in a rural southeast Iowa community near Iowa City is looking for an RN to join our team as a part-time or full-time member on 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. Responsibilities include nursing assessments, medication administration, and supervising CNAs to ensure quality resident care.

We offer competitive hourly pay of $35–$39 with a $2 weekend shift differential and employer-paid health insurance up to $500/month for full-time staff working at least 30 hours.

Responsibilities

• Follow established standards of nursing practice and implements facility policies and procedures.
• Complete medication administration
• Complete detailed nursing assessments and documentation
• Interprets existing policies and procedures to CNA's, residents, families, and physicians.
• Supervises and evaluates all direct resident care and initiates, corrective action as necessary
• Obtains report from nurse he/she is relieving and records sufficient information for follow-up action if necessary
• Conducts residents rounds daily, reporting problems to Nursing Supervisor and initiating corrective action
• Identifies resident problems and emergency situations and responds appropriately within the quality of life policies.
• Provides clinical supervision of CNA's

EVNCC is seeking a part time or full-time RN
