Job summary

Care Initiatives is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Part-Time weekends (6am–6pm) to join our compassionate team across Iowa's skilled nursing communities. You will provide direct nursing care, administer medications, monitor residents, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care and resident safety.

The role requires an Iowa RN license in good standing, CPR certification, and a commitment to empathy and discretion in every interaction with residents and families.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in good standing in Iowa.
• Current CPR Certification.
• Knowledge of federal and state long-term care regulations.
• Empathy, respect, patience and discretion in care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to residents in a skilled nursing environment.
• Support daily clinical operations on the unit, ensuring quality care and resident safety.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and on time.
• Monitor resident conditions and respond promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with CNA, LPN, provider, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Communicate effectively with residents and families regarding care needs.
• Document care accurately to meet clinical, regulatory, and facility standards.
• Follow infection control, safety, and compliance protocols.
