Newton Village, a Cassia community, is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA. RNs will deliver compassionate care, administer medications, and work with a dedicated team to ensure excellent outcomes for residents.

Shifts available: Day, Evening, and Night; full-time or part-time options. A strong commitment to enriching lives of older adults is essential, with opportunities for growth and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a current Iowa RN license and be in good standing.
• CPR certification required or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a team mindset.

Responsibilities

• Displays courteous attitude and respect for residents, families, and staff.
• Coordinates, oversees, and provides resident-related care.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician orders and monitors effectiveness.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment per policies.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notifies Clinical Manager and physicians of significant changes and follows up.

Position Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Shifts Available:
Day: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (Part-Time working every other Tuesday & Wednesday)
Evening: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Full-Time)
Night:10:00pm to 6:00am (Part-Time)

Registered Nurse (RN) Responsibilities:

• Displays a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Works to coordinate, oversee, and provide resident-related care.
• Administers medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Manages medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Documents care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notifies Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.

Registered Nurse (RN) Qualifications:

• Must have a current Iowa RNlicense and be in good standing.
• Must have CPR certification or willing to obtain
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
