Cassia's Newton Village in Newton, IA is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our caring team. Full-time or part-time shifts available: Day, Evening, and Night with various Tuesday/Wednesday patterns. Located at 110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208.

Qualifications

• Current Iowa LPN license in good standing.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Display courteous attitude toward residents, families, and staff.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor effectiveness.
• Manage medications, supplies, and equipment per policy; ordering and disposal as needed.
• Document resident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notify Clinical Manager, physicians, and family of significant changes and follow up accordingly.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Position Type:

Full-Time orPart-Time

Shifts Available:

• Day: 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (working every other Tuesday and Wednesday)
• Evening: 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Full-Time)
• Night: 10:00 pm to 6:00 am (Part-Time)

110 N 5th Ave W, Newton, IA 50208

Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:

• Display a courteous attitude and respect for all residents, families, and staff.
• Administer medications and/or treatment in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.
• Manage medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Document resident care using computerized medication administration and charting software.
• Notify Clinical Manager, attending physicians, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and take follow-up action as necessary.
• Performs additional duties as required.

Licensed Practical Nurse Qualifications:

• Must have a current Iowa LPN license and be in good standing.
• CPR certification or willing to obtain.
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Must have strong communication and organizational skills.
• Self-starter with a desire to be a part of a team.
